June meeting notes

Posted by mikelowndes - 16 July 2012 at 6:52pm - Comments

The group met on 20th June.

The materials have now arrived for the Arctic campaign so several members went  to Wetherby on 30th June to hand out leaflets to the public about Shell and drilling for oil in the Arctic.

There is also a campaign about KFC and its use of paper packaging that has links with the destruction of Indonesian rainforests - visit the main Greenpeace website to know more and actions you can take.

We are holding a Greenpeace Summer celebration on Sunday, 29th July, at Cedar Shingles, Abbey Road, Knaresborough, 1-4pm.

This is to celebrate our group's 25th anniversary as well as raise funds. There will be cream teas, bric a brac, books and plants for sale. All welcome.

Next meeting will be Wednesday 18th July 8pm at

Community House,

East Parade ,

Harrogate HG1 5RR
