Great action outside Shell garage in York on Saturday. Thanks to all the Arctic Defenders for turning up and spending the day protesting against Shell's drilling for oil in the Arctic. The community police turned up to look after us and spent quite a while talking to us about why we were there and what we were trying to achieve before asking for flyers and going off to find out more about the campaign. I think we made a convert.
Many other people showed their support for the campaign and, once again, Paula was the big hit with motorists and pedestrians.
