Spot the polar bear

Greenpeace activists from Merseyside joined those from across the North West this morning, to demonstrate outside a Shell outlet in Preston. With four banners, lots of tabards, placards and leaflets We assembled at the spot chosen by our Preston hosts, the Shell/Spar petrol station on Blackpool Road. We had not one but two polar bears, and in one magic moment a bear danced in the warm sunshine to the music blaring from a passing car.

Motorists took leaflets and many honked their support for out message. And that mesage is? 'Shell, the Arctic - one of Earth's last wildernesses - must be protected from commercial exploitation'. We made this point loud and clear today, and had fun doing it. And we will continue until Shell show us that they are listening. Well done all. When's the next demo?
