On the 20th of April we celebrated International I ❤ Arctic Day on Northumberland Street in Newcastle with a little help from an Arctic visitor (pictured above). It was a global day of action for us, as we continued our battle to Save The Arctic (#SaveTheArctic), this time we were gathering evidence for the leaders of the countries that make up the Arctic council to show the enormous strength of feeling across the world for the Arctic.
Everyone who had their pictures taken with I ❤ Arctic speech bubbles and the Polar Bear also agreed to their pictures being presented to the Arctic council with the signatures of nearly 3 million people who have signed the petition to protect the Arctic.
