As you may know already - the EU Commission is forcing GE crops upon Europeans without care and attention to safety concerns for our environment or our health. To put a stop to this - Greenpeace has joined forces with Avaaz and Friends of the Earth to collect 1 million signatures calling for a moratorium on GE crops in the EU.
A team is on the road in Europe right now with our 'GE-free future bus'. The bus left Amsterdam last week and following an eventful visit to Luxembourg - she is now in Hungary. President Barroso of the EU has received over 1,700 individual emails calling for a moratorium on GE food in the EU. Thanks to those of you who have acted by sending your own personal e.mail. If you haven't done this yet - click here.
