Sunny with occasional downpours, and windy, but Ashleyhay is in such a lovely spot, up above Wirksworth, that nobody minded. Add to that good food, amazing dark orange cider and great music, what more could you want?
Well as it happens, every festival needs a Greenpeace stall, preferably one staffed by an orangutan. And the chance to create your own rainforest postcards to send to KFC boss Martin Shuker at their head office in Woking demanding they stop sourcing their packaging from Asia Pulp and Paper. And the opportunity (intermittent signal permiting) to text ARCTIC + your name to 60002 and join the Arctic Scroll petition, calling for a global reserve around the North Pole.
So that provided, a perfect day out.
