She crops up at festivals and events all over the country, working hard to get people to Save the Arctic - but have you ever wondered what Paula Bear does the rest of the time? Here we bring you an exclusive insight into the behind the scenes world of a Bear Between Gigs ...

The main priority is getting clean, especially after something like the Y-Not Festival, three days paddling around in the mud makes a dreadful mess of a girl's paws. The only solution is a foot bath in the kitchen sink. Those paws take some drying out too, but a day or so lying back with your feet up on the range does the trick. Other TLC follows - a stitch here and there, a good comb of the fur and esential treatment with footrot powder. But before you know it it's time to get back in the box and head off to next weekend's appointment. Busy Bear!
