Happy New Year to you all - I know it's already February, but the snow drifts outside my door tell me it isn't quite time to come out of hibernation yet.

Last year was pretty active in Derbyshire, we had campaign stalls in Buxton, Matlock, Cromford, Chesterfield, Ashley Hay - not to mention the epic three day mud-fest that was the Y-Not festival. As ever we relied on help from friends in Derby, Nottingham and Congleton to come and help, thanks to everyone for that.

Snow or no snow, we are about to launch into campaigning again, with a Go Green Day at the University of Buxton (yes, there really is one!) on Thursday 14th February, when we will welcome the lovely Paula Bear back to join us in 'Save the Arctic' campaining. The diary is filling up for later in the year too - 4th & 5th May is the Peak Climate Festival in Cromford, Monday 6th May sees the May Day Gala in Chesterfield and also a new event, the Buxton Spring Fair - that's going to be a desperately busy weekend, so all offers of help will be much appreciated. Saturday 6th July sees the return of the ever-popular One World Festival in New Mills, which took a break last year. Then there's Y-not again on 2nd-4th August - Paula hated paddling in the mud, and she hated being kidnapped and dropped in it even more - I don't think she'll want to go back there again!

For those of you less furry - get those dates in your diary and email me with offers to help out.
