Nice Ice in Buxton

A lovely surprise was waiting for Paula this morning when she went up to Buxton Market Place for another stint campaigning to Save the Arctic - a lovely pile of ice, so any time she felt a bit overheated she could go and cool off. And being Buxton, in November, the ice wasn't melting very fast either.

Which is more than can be said for the Arctic, where this September saw the smallest extent of sea ice ever recorded, by a long way. The last thing we should be doing is letting oil companies in there to drill for more oil, that will heat the planet even faster. So if you haven't yet texted ARCTIC + YOUR NAME to 60002, then do it now (or go to SavetheArctic.org), and get your name added to the more than 2 million people so far calling for an Arctic Sanctuary.

And if you're in Buxton on Wednesday 5th December, come along to the Methodist Church at 7:30 pm to see Silent Snow, a film about pollution in the Arctic. Paula's hoping to be there, other commitments allowing.
