Part of an international day of action we are heading up to London to join with other groups from around the South East.
We'll be parading along part of the South Bank with the aim of raising awareness of the Arctic campaign and to have some fun.
Meeting Up
We'll be getting a train that arrives at 11:05 at London Bridge. For a few key stations in North Kent that is:
09:54 from Gillingham
09:58 from Chatham
10:18 from Gravesend
(you get the idea)
For those that want to meet us in London there are 2 starting groups meeting:
- Victoria Station (http://www.networkrail.co.uk/VictoriaStationMap.pdf)
We'll meet outside Neal’s Yard Remedies which is next to the ticket office (#54 on the map linked to above).
- London Bridge Station (http://www.networkrail.co.uk/LondonBridgeStationMap.pdf)
We'll meet next to the Cafe Nero in the main entrance area (#7 on the map linked to above). Note this is the exit for platforms 8 to 16. If you come in on platforms 1 to 6 it's probably best that instead of making to the normal exit you head over the covered footbridge and exit through the ticket barriers on platforms 8 to 16.
Costume
Anything Arctic Expedition. Give your imagination room to stretch it's creative muscle; Arctic animals, Arctic explorers, icebergs, anything. The Greenpeace expedition is on behalf of every country so feel free to give it an international theme. Fun is the most important part of the costume.
Although if you really don't have time for costume that is fine. We'll try and supply something suitable but bring yourself and a smile and that will be plenty......
