EON put the brakes on

Posted by elainerodger - 10 October 2009 at 5:04pm - 0 Comments

After months of amazing campaigning by Greenpeace and others, EON announced last night that they have put the brakes on plans for a new dirty coal fired power station at Kingsnorth for two to three years. However, we are carrying on with street campaigning during October to collect  messages from the public urging Ed Millliband to rule out new dirty coal in the UK altogether before of the Copenhagen summit in December.

We need  volunteers for this in Hexham on the mornings of Sat 17, 24 and 31st of October, let me know when you can  join in with an hour or two.
