Are you going to climb the floodlights?

It was a quick decision but, inspired by the actions of our fantastic climbers on Thursday, we decided to remind the population of Nottingham (and our visiting Australian friends) about Shell's plans to drill for oil in the Arctic Ocean.  So three of us turned up at Trent Bridge Cricket Ground with a couple of banners and my next door neighbours sons cricket bat.  In case you hadn't realised the Ashes have started here in Nottingham and Saturday is generally regarded as dress up day when macho men suddenly find their inner bride or mother or female celebrity.  Due to circumstances we didn't get together till near the start of the match but it was such a hot day that asking anyone to dress up in a polar bear costume for any more than 5 minutes was a bit much.  It was amazing that so many people had heard about the fantastic achievements of our six heroic climbers in reaching the top of the Shard.  All were amazed and impressed by their actions and positive comments were received when people read the contents of our poster.

Thanks to Cath for volunteering to wear the bear costume and little Sam for the loan of his cricket bat.
