Facebook conversations with Waitrose

Why Waitrose?  Aren't they supposed to be the good guys?  Well, they may sell lovely ethical food and super delicious cakes, but they are entering negotiations with Shell to have some mini-supermarkets at Shell garages.  I (and lots of other 'concerned citizens') are writing to Waitrose on their Facebook page to ask them why they are doing this.

Whoever has been charged with managing the Facebook page is very pleasant and will write back explaining that it is only a way of offering 'sustainably sourced' Waitrose food to a wider audience and that they believe that Shell have a licence to drill and have passed all the environmental tests to allow them to drill safely.  But Greenpeace have seen this licence and it isn't worth the paper it is written on.

So why not join in the conversation with Waitrose?  Facebook manager person has said he or she will pass on our concerns so lets make sure there are a whole load of concerns to pass on and that Waitrose will see the error of their ways.  In the mean time I will be buying my sticky cakes from another shop.
