Well it was a busy day for Nottingham Greenpeace. The Gedling Show was rife with things to see - including a dog show, a circulating jazz band, an airplane flyover and there was even an olympic torch that made an appearance
What was suprising was the small amount of people that knew what the CFP (that's the Common Fisheries Policy, for those that don't know) is about.
Luckily the dedicated members of Nottingham Greenpeace were on hand to change that, and they were very effective.
Around 150 signatures were obtained which was a good number given the time spent at the show.
Hopefully, the importance of sustainble fishing was passed on and some sympathy for small scale fishermen was generated.
