On monday 1st October Shell opened up yet another new garage. This time the site was in Nottingham City Centre, so it was Greenpeace Nottingham's turn to show them a big welcome. As the site is so central, we expected there would be a lot of pedestrians to speak to and give leaflets to. As it turned out though, we were wrong. Hardly anybody walked past.
The road we were facing on to though was extremely busy, and we got plently of support from the passing motorists.
I was secretly quite pleased that there weren't many people to speak to on this occasion (myself, Andrea and Rose); I had a stinking cold and there were only three of us all together! The important thing is though that Shell know that we're watching them. We only stayed for an hour but we certainly achieved this and also provided exposure to the Save The Arctic campaign.
