This is going to sound like an Oscar acceptance speech but there are lots of people I need to thank for the success of the benefit gig on Thursday night.

Firstly I must thank the bands Northern Quarter and Wholesome Fish for such great music and energy, then I must thank Harry (Prophet) for delivering Tim Rawlings of Derby groups memories of the 2005 commemoration of the sinking of the first Rainbow Warrior so movingly.  You could have heard a pin drop as he spoke and finally the Free Busketeers for doing as their name suggests and doing a free busk at the end of the gig.

Finally thanks to Gaz and all at the Maze for the venue and all in the Nottingham group for their efforts.  We had a really good night - starting off with Northern Quarter giving us their unique acoustic sound then Harry and finally the energetic and mad Wholesome Fish got everyone dancing.  We had over 100 people come to the event.  Tim took loads of photos and you can have a look here at the night.  We may get some video shots soon as well and if we do I will post them up.
