Stonebridge city farm

Last Sunday on the 25th of July Jane and I went to the Stonebridge city farm to try and get a few more people to sign our no tar sands petition. We arrived at 10:30 and then wondered around like nomads whilst the organisers found us a spot (some one who didn't book stole our spot). Though it wasn't really busy we still managed to get almost 30 people signed up and had fun in the process. Obviously being a farm there were lots of animals and a really loud donkey, as well as bands, circus performers, tribal drumming and lots of craft stuff for kids to do. It was a really good day and we will hopefully have stalls at many of the Stonebridge events in the future.

On a connected note I was looking on the Stonebridge farm website under the news heading and saw something that might interest some of you, In the middle of August they are running a short course called introduction to beekeeping which I thought sounded fun.

See you all at the meeting in the Orange tree on Thursday, Kirsty.
