Tuna Campaign Update

John Worst Tuna

Last week I sent out frantic messages and texts to various people telling them not to do any stickering of tins of tuna and most of you guessed that negotiations were in a positive direction.  You guessed right and now Morrisons have agreed to ban tuna caught by purse-seining using Fish Aggregation Devices by 2013.  So added to the changes already promised by Tesco, ASDA and Princes this is, according to the Independant, one of the most successful environmental campaigns of the year so far.

So this only leaves John West.  We are having meaningful discussions with them at the moment so please do not sticker their tins in any supermarket or do anything that would jeapordise the discussions.  Thank you
