Dirty Oil

OK so we are not supposed to tell you guys about anything that isn't Greenpeace BUT in this case I am making an exception.............

The Cooperative are presenting a  film called Dirty Oil which is all about the strip mining of tar sands in Alberta in Canada.  To quote from the Broadway blurb: 'Here vast and toxic soils supply the US with the majority of its oil.  Told throgh the eyes of scientists , politicians and environmentalists, the filmmakers journey to both sides of the border to uncover the toll this "black gold rush" is taking on our planet.  With satellite introductions and Q&A.'

This is the must-see film of 2010 for environmentalists.  There are only 60 seats for the public and no free seats left to get from the Coop.  Greenpeace is one of many organisations that are camaigning on tar sands as you can see from the UK website.  Come and find out about this dirty and destructive business for yourself
