As part of a huge international day of action against Shell for their plans to drill for oil in the Arctic Ocean, Nottingham Greenpeace will be organising a peaceful protest outside the Shell garage in Carlton Square on 21st July. The garage is opposite Tesco's superstore in Carlton (it used to be a Total garage). This will be a very peaceful activity and will involve only the handing out of leaflets to passers by. If you have wondered whether you would like to do something more for Greenpeace, this is an ideal place to start. Meet under the Tesco sign on the corner of Cavendish Road and Carlton Hill at 10.15 for a 10.30 start. We intend to hold a peaceful protest outside all of the Shell garages in Nottingham during the next few months. We have already visited two garages and have had no problems with the staff or motorists using the garages. If you want to help - and the more people we have the bigger message we will be able to send to Shell - then please email your name and contact details to greenpeacenotts@gmail.com
