Four of us had our first stab at the Arctic Campaign - and asking people to text - at a very friendly event in a lovely part of the Oxfordshire countryside. The fabulous new banner made a very useful wall for our shelter. As the ice cap melts, I suppose all that water has to go somewhere and, in common with most of Britian this summer, some of it seemed to be falling on us. But lots of people came into our "cave" for some shelter, to buy toy bears or to admire Noddy's Rainbow Warrior model. Lots of interest in the campaign, many promises to send texts, fewer actually sent on the spot. It might be about the demographic at this sort of event - it will be interesting to see how this pans out.
