Shell - Headington

As Greenpeace activists in New Zealand occupy Shell's drilling rig, preventing it from heading to the Arctic, we visited their garage in Headington to ask customers to help us stop Shells crazy plan to drill for oil in the far north.

Our team arrived around 3.30pm on Friday afternoon and went to speak to staff before setting up at the entrance and exit, we weren't there to interfere with fuel sales but let people know the extremes Shell are going to, drilling in the artic, to maintain our addiction to oil.

We need to get off the black stuff to ensure our children can have a decent future but as the Arctic sea ice rapidly disapears, Shell see it as an opportunity to dig for more.

What makes it worse is that if there were to be a spill in the frozen north, it would be almost impossible to clean up and the impact on the enviroment would be far, far worse than the gulf of Mexico disaster.

Join us drawing a line in the ice and tell Shell to stop their mad, bad plans.
