Global Zero is hiring 1 Campaigner in the United Kingdom to support its expanding grassroots movement for the elimination of nuclear weapons worldwide. We’re looking for entrepreneurial political organizers, familiar with both online and offline organizing tools and methods, to join our international team.
This position reports to the European Campaign Director. The Campaigner will be responsible for building the UK-based movement for Global Zero.
What we’re looking for:
- 1-3 years of experience in grassroots community/campus/solidarity organizing or volunteer management
- Have a demonstrated interest in international affairs
- An excellent communicator with strong writing and public speaking skills
- Have experience with social media and online organizing
- Languages, IT skills, and knowledge of security issues are big plus
Some of the things you’ll be doing:
- Working with the international campaign team to formulate country-specific campaign strategies
- Overseeing grassroots chapters, their participation in campaigns, and their growth
- Building on successful organizing models to fine tune a country-specific organizing model and trainings for Global Zero
- Overseeing the creation of organizing resources and campaign materials
- Leading trainings for grassroots activists
- Maintaining collaborative relationships with other ngos

- Work independently in London, with regular and structured communication with the European Campaign Director and the rest of the Campaign team
