The Government is asking for public spending ideas - say 'Scrap Trident'!

Posted by heddwch - 12 July 2010 at 2:56pm - Comments
We can now all submit ideas for how the government should solve its spending difficulties by going straight to http://spendingchallenge.hm-treasury.gov.uk/acl_users/credentials_cookie_auth/require_login?came_from=http%3A//spendingchallenge.hm-treasury.gov.uk/how-can-we-rethink-public-services-to-deliver-more-for-less/%2B%2Badd%2B%2Bopsuite.discussion.idea

NB. You will need to register, before submitting your idea or rating other ideas.

Also, they are offering the option of voting on the ideas already suggested, so please do not forget to vote for the ideas that appeal to you e.g. cutting Trident! See  for e.g. http://spendingchallenge.hm-treasury.gov.uk/how-can-we-rethink-public-services-to-deliver-more-for-less/scrap-trident-nuclear-weapons-and-save-110-billion-dollars
or
http://spendingchallenge.hm-treasury.gov.uk/how-can-we-rethink-public-services-to-deliver-more-for-less/get-out-of-afghanistan

The ones you want are likely to have a 'Defence' tag.

The bad news is that we have only 1 month to do this.
Please pass this on.
