Labour’s missed opportunity

Posted by cl4vicl - 12 April 2010 at 9:49pm - Comments

"Today, President Barack Obama hosts leaders from 46 countries for a two-day nuclear security summit that will focus on how to better safeguard weapons materials, both old and new" read more here

Not only is Gordon Brown not going in person to the summit but today missed the opportunity of including a promise to cut the Trident Nuclear weapons syetem in their manifesto. It's also a missed opportunity for the UK whole could have gone to the summit with that promise of not renewing Trident and could have taken the lead in international disarmament.
