However he's left himself a few loop holes which mean the US will still be able to use Nuclear weapons against countries which in its opinion have violated or defied the international nuclear proliferation treaty i.e. against North Korea and Iran.
This comes just before the US and Russia sign the START treaty which will limit the number of operationally deployed nuclear warheads to 1550 (wow doesn’t the world feel a lot safer knowing the US & Russia have only 1550 warheads to kill us all with)
Maybe I'm expecting too much from someone who was given a Noble Prize for their commitment to nuclear disarmament, but it's also a lot more than our government is currently doing what with their plans to renew Trident.
