If the question is "where is the plan to stop Britain drowning in debt" than neither of the parties' manifestos seem to be offering much of a solution, especially when it comes to defence expenditure. Tory's manifesto refers to 25 per cent cuts in MoD running costs, but doesn't mention the real costs (not even the alleged ones) of Trident replacement, which is depicted as "our foreign policy requirement".
