Scotland and Nato: national interest or corporate interests?

Posted by bpeter_101 - 26 August 2012 at 11:04pm - Comments

The best article I've read so far on whether the Scottish National Party should change its policy on Nato membership for an independent Scotland is published in today's 'Scotland on Sunday' newspaper.

Robin McAlpine writes:  "It is to be celebrated that Scotland can have this debate. Both of these visions of a Scottish international role are streets ahead of Britain’s stances of 'the only way you’ll get our nukes from us is to prize them from our cold, dead hands' and 'we agree with whatever the United States just said'.

Enough said.
