A large proportion of the population is sceptical about the need for new aircraft carriers and replacing Trident. Some of the National Security Council's advisers are apparently sceptical too. Sound familiar? Let's hope this government isn't set to follow the example of the last one and take us gung ho towards a solution "they know is right"....
