Trident Ploughshares disarmament camp at AWE Burghfield

Posted by bpeter_101 - 24 August 2013 at 7:50pm - Comments

The Trident Ploughshares campaign and Action AWE are organising a summer disarmament camp at AWE Burghfield, the site near Reading where to UK's nuclear weapons are assembled, between 26 August and 7 September.

Campers and visitors are welcome either for a short visit, a few days stay, or for the full duration of the camp.

A mass blockade of the base is planned for Monday 2 September.

It's easy to get to Burghfield on public transport from Reading station: just take Vitality Bus 2 or 2A and ask for The Mearings.  Fare £4 return.
