Unfortunately, because of a major incident on the M6 north, we spent five hours sat in a queue on the M6, rather than getting people to sign messages to the local LIb Dem MP Tim Farron, telling him to honour their original promises to stay green. However, all was not lost - we had a lovely opportunity to get to know one of our newest members, Maggie, and eventually got to Kendal, where we met a local activist, Jo, and went for coffee in a lovely cafe. George's coffee is pictured above - it must have been good, because she had to sleep it off on the way back home! Jo has taken all our spare cards will try and get people to send messages to Tim and then is going along to meet him to hand over the messages before the Lib Dem conference.
