So we have been a little slow in organising the Making Waves film evening… but what better place to celebrate 40 years of Greenpeace than on a boat!! On the 21st May, the Richmond Venturer will be flying the rainbow and dreaming of the sea. She’s unlikely to ever make it out to the ocean but she does teach groups about the conservation needs of the River Thames.
Films will include Greenpeace: The Story, a great documentary on the 40-year history of Greenpeace accompanied by some short films looking at campaign issues and what GP volunteers get involved in… A drinks reception will begin at 7.30pm and we will start the films just after 8pm.
Entry is free (with a suggested donation of £5 for our hosts the Thames Boat Project). Everyone is invited but as the boat is not open to the general public, we do need you to register with us here.
Help us celebrate 40 years of Making Waves – come and find out more about Greenpeace and meet the volunteers who are making it all happen in your area.
