Saturday 21st is the national Shell Protest day - and we in Richmond & Kingston have what must be the best part of the day. We will be riding around the Olympic Cycle Race route as a group stopping at all the local Shell garages on or near the route.
There are a number of options in helping us with this:
a) you can cycle the route around Richmond & Kingston - starts and ends at Richmond Bridge (Meeting point: Tide Tables Cafe @ Richmond Riverside) with stops at each Shell garage. 4 garages with 15 minutes cycle between each one.
b) you can then cycle the race route into Central London. We'll be leaving Richmond behind after the local protest and ending at The Mall. Hopefully meeting up with the other London groups taking part in the protest day along the way - with of course a few stops at some Shell garages.
c) you can just join us at your nearest Shell Garage - we'll be difficult to miss as we'll be accompanied by Ijiraat (spirits that can shape shift into Arctic animals)- think cycling polar bears.
