Saturday saw us having our first stall at Oval Farmers Market to campaign at The Common Fisheries Policy. We found it to be a great venue to campaign at and once we went round talking to people everyone were friendly and most people would sign the letter to David Cameron, once they found out what it really was.

A lot of people weren't aware of the stark crisis of our oceans and were rightly outraged and couldn't hradly believe what we were telling them. It was also great to walk round and talk to the other stalls and meet people who are also passionate about sustainability and taste good quality food that are produced with attention to the environment.

In the picture you can see Greenpeace supporter from Croydon who came up and off course signed but also proudly showed us his Greenpeace credit card and asked about updates on the other Greenpeace campaigns and we're obviously naturally delighted when we told him about the recent Mattel win. In the end one of the persons who is part of the Oval Partnership, and who were part of the group who started up the Farmers Market up to us and told us how pleased he were to see us here which resulted in this blog: http://ovalpartnership.org.uk/blog/2011/10/greenpeace-at-oval-farmers-ma...

This is fantastic and a great way for us to build up our reputation in the community which essential is our main aim. On that note it will defnitely not be the last time that we're seen on the Oval Farmers Market as it's a great opportunity to walk around and talk to people in a very relaxed atmosphere.
