Volkswagen want's you to believe that they're a green company and they're serious about tackling climate change and making their cars more efficient, recently displayed in their 'Think Blue' advert where everything seems very sweet  and the cars are surrounded by flowers, green stuff and nice looking wind turbines. Though the reality might be a bit diferent, at least that's what Will from our network found out when he had a test drive booked this weekend at Lookers Battersea.

This is what their salesmen had to say:

1) They're not investing in hybrid or electric cars, as it's not cost effective and it's only asian companies that were doing this.

2) Claiming that Buemotion cars were false economy and that it would take you 8 years to pay off the saving as Bluemotion cars are more expensive.

3) They didn't really care about environmentally impacts, they don't make 3 litre engines any more but are comfortable making tax B and C bracket cars. All in one they were very one sided.

They did say though that their views and comment might not reflect VW as a whole. I think though that it's a good example of how the people in VW thinks when they don't think they're exposed to the media and it goes fine in line withn them saying that Greenpeace don't want to meet them,  when it's actually the opposite that's true.
