You might have seen a recent post by Southampton group volunteer Alix about being sponsored to have her dreadlocks cut off to raise money for Project Pod on 'I Love Arctic' day with many events all over the UK and beyond. Well, it happened last night as part of the shenanigans related to the rather jolly Arctic cafe quiz at our favourite local venue, the Art House. I'm not sure who was more nervous, me as the 'hairdresser' or Alix being on the receiving ends of scissors and clippers. Actually, I do, it was Alix! But, all went swimmingly - there have already been some generous donations with more to come - it all goes towards the expensive business of building a new Arctic survival pod that will allow us to campaign in tricky (i.e. very cold) conditions. You can donate by clicking the orange 'donate' box above - all gratefully received and wisely used. Cheers :)
Another dread-ful pun
