Getting MPs to show the Arctic some love

We spend a lot of time asking members of the public to sign this, have their photo taken with that, and so on. However, although we often write to MPs, we don't often approach them in the same way as we do anyone else. So, it was great to be able to visit my MP Mike Thornton (LD, Eastleigh) and talk to him, more informally than at a surgery session, about Arctic issues and why we need to protect it in a similar way to the Antarctic - we also had a good natter about bees! Better still, he was happy to put his name to the growing list of people all over the world who are calling for just such protection. If it's not something you know much about, have a look here; and from me just a big thanks to Mike!
