Fantastic news - the carbon-spewing, climate-hostile plans for a third runway at Heathrow airport have been scrapped. The Cameron/Clegg government confirmed on Wednesday evening that it will not only scrap the third runway at Heathrow, but also refuse additional runways at Gatwick and Stansted. So all our Airplot campaigning has finally won - a huge thank you to all who helped as Airplotters, letter-writers, MP lobbyers, and of course volunteers at the many campaign events.
