Shell's surprising rebrand

Shell is out of order

Recently, rumours have been spreading around Southampton, and in other towns and cities, of Shell  rebranding themselves in surprisingly honest ways given their plans to trash the Arctic looking for yet more dodgy oil. They soon changed their minds and removed the new logos, but fortunately, eagle-eyed passers-by managed to take some pictures of the temporarily honest imagery - 'out of order' signs on pumps, new logos on various bits of the garages and even big 'oil at any cost' posters on their large yellow advertising banners - who'd have thought it?

However, it does seem that Shell need a little more nudging to make the decision to stay out of the Arctic, so please do take a few moments to write to their CEO Peter Voser, and maybe a few more to urge investment funds to drop Arctic drillers, starting with Shell. If you're a tweeter, why not follow #savethearctic, and if you love to text, send SHELL to 60777.
