Volunteers outside the Shell garage in Shirley, Southampton

The Obama administration has warned them it's too risky to drill in the Arctic, their drilling rig has run aground (again, the latest in a litany of disasters) other companies have wisely pulled out, insurers won't insure them (again, too risky), investors won't... you get the picture... but do Shell finally admit their plans are wrong, do the right thing and cancel Arctic drilling plans? No. No they don't. They will, but they haven't yet. So, we went back to visit one of their Southampton garages with leaflets and banners in hand  - as ever a great public response - and handily we managed to book decent weather between the snow and rain! Look out for more events like this in Southampton and around the country as we take our lawful protest to Shell - we're not going away until Shell change their ways... more here. #stopshell & #savethearctic!
