Saturday 10th July: It was sunny, it was hot - it was our visit to take the 'No Tar Sands' campaign to the St.Cross BP garage in St.Cross, Winchester as part of the national weekend of action.
There was no response from BP in Winchester on the day, though I hadn't even handed over the 'letter to the manager' before someone was on the phone - to BP management perhaps? The police didn't appear, so I imagine that was the case...
Pretty good levels of support from customers and passing drivers - an hour or so in, and just the one grumpy dissenter, well diluted by the various 'thumbs-up' and cheers. What's next I wonder..?
