Stormtroopers outside Acea car lobbying meeting in Brussels

Yesterday, the Southampton group was out and about campaigning against VW's stance on climate change legislation. Today, you may have seen that Greenpeace went to Brussels to expose the sort of secretive, behind-the-scenes lobbying that car companies like VW are involved in as they try to oppose action on climate change, particularly legislation affecting emissions levels. This sort of lobbying has tended to focus on doom-laden predictions about the effects of climate change legislation on the car industry, but we've done some myth-busting which shows that the car industry lobbyists are talking out of their exhaust pipes. There's nowhere for VW and their cronies to hide - it's time they left the dark Side and came out into the light...

If you want more detail you can read the full myth-busting report here (link at the bottom of the page).
