Those of you with your ears to the ground may have heard about some strange occurrences in the vicinity of MP Simon Hughes’ office towards the end of last year. Intriguingly, sources suggest that these occurrences have - get this - Reoccurred! That’s right – in the past 24 hours posters calling on Liberal Democrats like Mr Hughes to stand up to George Osborne and his Fracked-Up Energy Bill have reappeared on lampposts and in bus shelters across the Jamaica Road area.

Although Osborne is still refusing to admit that his energy bill’s lack of a binding decarbonisation target could condemn the UK to decades of labouring under the delusion that finite and damaging fossil fuels are our salvation, hope is not lost. Tim Yeo MP has proposed an amendment to the bill which would incorporate such a target into it, paving the way for big investment in renewable energy. This gives the Liberal Democrats the perfect opportunity to draw a line in our good British soil, before it is contaminated with toxic fracking chemicals, and say enough is enough. Here's hoping they take it, and do the right thing.

P.S. You too can stand up against Osborne, if you haven’t already – check it!
