Top 10

1- We want to offer many opportunities to get involved in our local Southwark Greenpeace network, any participation is welcome. We have put together some ideas on how to get involved (in no particular order):

  • Attend the monthly meeting
  • Participate to an outreach action or a large national action
  • Fundraise (run the marathon!)
  • Write a blog and post it on our page
  • Organise an event to promote Greenpeace (pub quiz, concert, film night, etc)
  • Post something on FB Southwark Greenpeace page

2- We want to establish ourselves in the community with a list of community contacts. We were thinking to link up with Burgess Park growing areas and find other opportunities

3- We will try to involve members around their skills sets

4-We will create more social events such as an away day in John and Helen house in Cumber.

5- We want to link in with local university, student press and university events. We should be present at university fresher events.

6- We will encourage participation in cycling / walking public community event as “Greenpeace volunteer”

7- We thought we should ease new members in our group to participate by buddying a new and “old” member and /or going out for a drink with another local member (neighbours buddy)

8- We will be supporting the HQ (for example by volunteering for the Arctic Sunshine when the ship will be moored in London this Spring)

9- and 10 to find out at the next meeting!
