Last group meeting we talked more about the creation of a Southwark Greenpeace leaflet, which we can hand out at events to encourage even more people to join our group and get active in Southwark. We want to promote the idea that we are a unique and diverse group and there are multiple ways to get involved with us!

Here are some ideas so far, we need as much feedback about this as possible whether positive or negative so please comment below and let us know what you think...

1. Creating Southwark Greenpeace logo as play on Southwark council logo but with green spray paint to match Greenpeace logo.

2. Having a QR code on the front leading to GP homepage (or Southwark group page?) We also need to find a good bold image relating to our group in some way.

3. Inside: Top ten ways to get involved with Southwark GP.

4. Introduction to the group - illustration of 2/3 group members with speechbubbles saying how/why the got involved and what they get out of group.-just little sound bites.

5. We could have examples of varied events we've done-with illustrations or clear bold photos -visuals must be clear and easy to see. We want a nice balance between images and text.

6. We could design the flyer like a mind map with questions in the middle i.e "How can I get involved?"  then have lines branching out to pictures and text explaining.

7. We want to emphasise the word "YOUR" i.e Your Southwark Greenpeace! -We want to promote the group as being inclusive and a real part of the Southwark community.

8. We could have graphics/words made up of images of famous Southwark landmarks-there are a lot in Southwark so let's do something with this.

9. We probably want to keep the flyer focused on group as opposed to campaign as GP already does its campaign material very well and it would be fantastic to create something which could be a more long term advertisement for the group.

10. On the back: We are thinking we will have a good map clearly showing where we meet, contact info for the group, inc Steve's details, a link to our Facebook, Twitter and most importantly our Greenpeace page if this is not on the front.

So what do you think? Please feed back any thoughts and suggestions you may have-it will be much appreciated!

We are having creative get together on the 3rd/4th June tbc so keep an eye on the events page. Please let us know if you are feeling creative and want to get involved, we will try to sketch out/write down/scrawl and doodle some prototype ideas and once we have a few of these we will have a vote for peoples favourites. So have a think and get in touch. Happy Bank Holiday!
