The Green Fayre and the Polar Bear

Had a great time at the Green Fayre with one of the wonderful Polar bears, spreading the Save the Arctic message. The polar bear was a great hit, winning friends all in a good cause for Greenpeace - we spoke to lots of people over the weekend asking them to text their names to be recorded in the Arctic Scroll. This now numbers over 2 million people in an international campaign to make the Arctic a protected area and off limits to oil companies like Shell.

We also hit on a bit of fundraising and had a competition to guess the name of the Polar bear. This raised a respectable sum of money with prizes kindly donated by the Co-Op supermarket and Govinda's vegetarian restaurant. A really great weekend at the Green Fayre, which is always a wonderful event.
