Cans of Princes tuna in ASDA Harlow town centre

This picture was taken recently at ASDA in Harlow town centre.

It's nice to know that activists all over the UK are making their objections to Princes tuna available for shoppers to see.

In case you weren't aware, Princes recently found itself foundering at the bottom of the Greenpeace tuna league table.

The company appears relatively unconcerned that it sources its tuna in a destructive and unsustainable fashion. It also appears perfectly blase that everyone is now aware of this.

Perhaps if more and more of its tinned tuna was rebranded so shoppers could have a direct choice between Princes brand and those of others, it might be a bit more willing to make concessions.

Until then, Princes will continue to meet with Greenpeace, it will also continue to target threatened species and green activists will, no doubt continue to spread the message that these products kill more than just tuna.
