Paul A. Bear is recuperating after a hectic weekend, that saw him take in Dorchester, Bere Regis and Poole, as the temperatures soared to the highest of the year.

On Saturday morning he joined 18 members of West Dorset for their 3rd protest at the Dorchester Shell garage. Staff are getting weary there, coming out to count the protesters and attempting unsuccessfully to raise Health and Safety Issues about children (actually in high-vis jackets accompanied by their father)
"I was made to feel really welcome - so many people honked when I waved. They understand that the melting ice is a warning, not a business opportunity," explained Mr. Bear.

On Sunday morning  on his way back to his normal residence of Bournemouth he decided to drop in at Bere Regis garage accompanied by a couple of friends from the West Dorset and Bournemouth groups. Mr Bear reported that the stationary queue had facilitated leafletting and that although not everyone was receptive most exchanges were good humoured and a few cars turned back.

Having rushed over to Poole garage, Paul A. Bear was on duty again with 12 members of the Bournemouth group. "There was so much honking for the Arctic that the nearest neighbour came to complain. A lot of people in Poole are now aware that Shell are hell bent on destroying the Arctic," explained the exhausted bear.

Help Save the Arctic! And keep looking out for further protests in West Dorset and Bournemouth and Poole.
