Do Polar Bears eat Apples?

We were invited to kick off our 'Save the Arctic' campaign at the Apple Day held in the lovely grounds of Thorner's School , Litton Cheney. It was an amazing green event with lots of child-friendly activities.

Paul A. Bear caused quite a stir! Arctic animal stickers went down a treat. The children liked being quizzed on pictures of Arctic animals - no-one got the narwhals. Hiding a couple of tiny model polar bears on other stalls also worked - children had to bring them back to the Greenpeace stall to receive a sweet and a sticker.

The only downer was that this campaign, using texting exclusively, doesn't work  in the reception black hole of deepest Dorset - we just have to hope some of the people we talked to and leafletted will follow up by adding their name to the Arctic scroll.
