Arrests at protest

West Dorset activists directly involved in the fight against tar sands.

On Monday 28 November, over 50 Greenpeace activists helped to blockade the Department for Transport to protest against secret lobbying which is trying to derail the important European Fuel Directive legislation.

For more info you can read here about the European Fuel Quality Directive, the carbon-intensive practice of generating oil through tar sands and the secret deals between the UK and Canadian governments

The UK government is blocking legislation which would help to keep the most polluting of Fossil fuels where it belongs - in the ground, their actions prove how last years Green claims were lies.
